I sure hope this is the only thaw for January!!!

January 2nd.... ah a new year has begun. Nope no resolutions jut plugging along.
We toured a farm yesterday. Like it, can work it, can fix things..... now to see how negotiable the price is. Financing is not an option b/c of the issues it has, well and it isn't work it either.
So onward.

Farm happenings: yeah things still happen. boy do they happen.
We have a thaw and that means mud. So that meant 2 muddy dogs that were to go to the farm tour with us did not. Katie we left loose at the inlaws. Bandit was tied up. Sara and Honey in the trailer. Came home to Katie was found laying in the road looking lost. Judy put her in the laundry room where Kate decided the dirty laundry wasn't dirty enough and got them really dirty laying on them all afternoon. BAndit was filthy but still tied up!
The blonds were fine but not for long. Sara went wandering a few doors over to the pile of guts that the neighfor has outside their back door. Seems nobody can bury things or dispose of them, nope piled, smelly, fermenting GUTS- and Sara gobbled alot up. Which she barfed all over our comforter then ate them up again... why oh why is the happening???? gross, gag.... Then a few hours later she barfs again on the throw rug, barfs outside. Comes back in to gas us out of the house. I put her out at 2 am to find her eating the goods she just up chucked. Okay, did I mention this used to be the perfect dog?
So the morning finds more mud, a long rain overnight and me cranky as cranky can be.
I have a cold and walking in the rain over the farm for 2 hours has really done a number on me.
The cows are all in a pound each other mood showing who is dominant.
Molly and Archy want to be let out of their pen but I don't trust the little huge bull calf with fence yet. He is a bulldozer.
The poulty are having a great time ranging all over the field. We have to keep an eye out for dog attacks.
I want snow back NOW. SNow and frozen ground- this means no more mud. I really hate mud- especially with 4 dogs each with 4 paws, that means 16 more muddy things to clean off- well attempt to anyways.
I'd like to get my cross country skiis out for some zipping around- need more SNOW!!!
